So I wanna just talk my mind here, I wrote stories to entertain not just myself but my friends as well, but sometimes writing a story in my one way makes me bored and I give up mid-story, not with this one though, I made this story in ninth grade and I am still surprised that I actually closed it up all the way, this was a dragon story, I made it after reading more of my favorite book series Wings of Fire, in my english class we shared bits of writing we did, I originally intended to just do one paragraph of this Idea and call it a day. Then the next time I put it in I got a lot of good feedback from the class, so I moved it all onto a google Docs and started writing, I shared some updates from the book but I became embarrassed one time by my decision, so I stopped sharing in the writing stuff, one of the kids who had good feedback about the book became friends with me, she even invited me to her birthday party, this might sound a bit ludicrous but I was flabbergasted by how nice she looked, I also brought a gift because it was the nicest thing I could do, the party was great, her parents were really nice people and I was petting about 5 dogs that night. I talked to her more after that and became less scared of being shunned writing something I thought was bad. I finally allowed her to access and edit freely, I found it much easier to write a story with a buddy I knew, I was stuck on a bit and had to fish for suggestions. I found a couple in the the class but I decided not to take some of them since they would create plot holes in multiple spots, so I went with going all out and decided to end the story with a bang, I wrote the final part filling in lore spots and anything that didn’t make sense, on the last three chapters I stretched out a single sequence to make it feel complete, then I filled in a Prologue and an Epilogue, to top it all off, I fell in love with my writing buddy, I know this is just a blog post but I found more excitement writing a book than I thought was possible for me. I will include the book I wrote somewhere on this site, I am currently writing a sequel right now, so I hope it as good as my first one.
